| DESCRIPTION AS SEEN
IN THE NEW YORK TIMES MAGAZINE SEPT 10TH 2006. Designated a historic
building by the governor of the city of Buenos aires and slated for complete
exterior restoration by 2008. A neo classic modern design using original
arte deco and arte nouveau 11' iron doors. Three engineers labored on this
project for 14 months. It is probably the most complex and intricate project
of its kind in the world and it is in turn key condition. Live inside a
piece of art that is a von Reinelt property. Furniture included, accessories
not included.
The floors were removed and replaced with insulation, electronics in conduit,
and radiant heating coils in cement. Then a sub floor was installed and 100
yr old pinotea with granite and tile inserts were installed over the
subfloor.
All of the electronics for the house including the large liquid crystal tv
are operated by one hand held remote control. Both wireless and hard wired
high speed computer links were added. An elaborate custom made computer and
desk including printer web cam and microphone were added. The phone system
is both local and international run on the asterisk system so that european
calls cost about 3 cents a minute and the fax which is included works
internationally.
Custom made double paned glass windows throughout including behind the
vitraux Catalan, which are the only signed set in Argentina and are
recognized as a major museum quality piece of art, restored and releaded by
Daniel Ortola the dean of stained glass restorers in Argentina. Custom laser
balanced steel frames. All doors and windows are surrounded by custom made
piedra-paris stone frames (surrounds).
American central air conditioning (Carrier) American Solatubes (skylights
and light fixtures, 11 separate units. High density polymer insulation on
the inside of the cement ceiling which is on the top floor of this antique
building. Much light and silence in this 4th noisiest city in the world.
Custom stainless steel kitchen with two refrigerators, two sinks. 2
dishwashers, butlers pantry, all glass shelves, microwave, custom gas stove
with tiled oven, separate electronic oven and sparate microwave with built
in toaster. Black granite countertops throughout.
Built in gas fireplace with custom iron salamander topped with art deco
black granite style tops. Surround sound home theater and large liquid
crystal tv.
Scottish shower with 8 showerheads in master bath. Bidet and custom made
black granite sink.
Antique 19th century Meiiji lamps (include Kurosawa, Kutani, Imari (late
Tokugawa period) Rosenthal prewar china service for 12, Henkel pre war
sterling service for 12, Taisho screen, important Argentine Madonna by Blas
Mazza, original art nouveau bronze alter vessels and candelabra, 3 and 1/2
foot tall church silver plate candle sticks. Built in closets with all
amenities. All upholstry hand sewn Brioni silk (Duvets, Pillows. etc.) High
grade chocolate leather upholstry on all custom made Bau Haus furniture. The
apartment is also available for sale one an un furnished or semi furnished
basis. |
